This enriching course will deepen your awareness of yoga and give you the skills to teach others this ancient practice.
You will be certified through Lift Yoga Studio and qualified to register with the Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at the 200-hour level. Kim Saunders, owner of Lift Yoga, has been teaching for 10 years and is a 500-hour ERYT, Psychotherapist and Certified Yoga Therapist, who has led a teacher program for 3 years now.
We will meet for nine weekends over the course of six months. They will be held Friday nights (4-9pm), Saturday (9-5pm) and Sunday (8-2pm).
All weekends are mandatory in order to qualify for a 200 RYT.
The tuition for the program is $2,750 and payment plans are accepted. We extend a 10% discount on tuition if paid in full 1-month prior to start date.

I had contemplated Yoga Teacher Training for quite some time, but it wasn't until I met Kim at Lift Yoga that I made the decision to go for it! I wanted a nurturing environment, a teacher who was truly authentic, compassionate, and a safe soul through which I could explore my thoughts, experiences, and emotions. What a wonderful gift this experience has been! I have learned so much about myself and the multifaceted discipline that is yoga. This teacher training is a fascinating buffet, where you will get to sample so many diverse aspects of the practice, from attending kirtan concerts, meditation workshops, pranayama instruction, chair yoga, and restorative yoga. You will also go in depth with the physical aspects of the practice, enhancing your understanding of anatomy, alignment, and safe sequencing of poses. The history and Philosophy of the practice is also explored in depth, and applying the eight limbs of yoga to my personal life has been an opportunity for deep personal growth. On the business side of things, this is a wonderful way to network and make meaningful contacts with fun, likeminded people. Since finishing the training, I have been given the opportunity to teach at a studio, school, community center, library, and tropical resort! Whether you plan on teaching, or are just interesting learning more about the amazing practice of yoga, this training is for you. Kim and Sue create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters personal exploration, and you will grow so much in mind, body, and spirit!

I recently graduated from the teacher training program and it was an experience I will never forget and always treasure. To gain a better understanding for yoga, is to essentially gain a better understanding of yourself, and we could all use this. Kim Saunders and Sue Hopkins were the absolute perfect compliment to each other and I learned so much from both of them. This 200 hour training is just the beginning for me. I plan to complete the 500 hour and prenatal training through Etowah Valley in the years to come. Stepping into Lift Yoga is like stepping into serenity. As a mom to a toddler, the hour spent on my mat is an important way to LIFT my spirit – Lift Yoga provides the perfect place to do this. So perfect that I wanted to help offer others with this as well, so I went through the yoga teacher training program at Lift with Kim Saunders and Sue Hopkins. With a beautiful space and fantastic teachers, each bringing a little something different, this has been the first studio in 10 years where I have felt safe and welcome every single time I step foot in the glass door. My participation in the RYT 200 Yoga Teacher Training at Lift Yoga Studio first and foremost enabled me to physically and spiritually deepen my own practice of Yoga. The program explored the evolution of Yoga - from its earliest beginnings in India to present day. Courses of study included proper alignment of Yoga asanas, human anatomy, the Chakras (Energy Meridians in the body), Ayurveda, and Business Boot Camp to name but a few. Peer teaching within the program, and to the community at Lift Yoga Studio, provided valuable teacher practice as well as constructive critiques of teaching methods from peers, program leaders and the outside community. I highly recommend this RYT 200 Yoga Teacher Training to anyone who is ready to either expand and deepen their own practice of Yoga, and/or share their love of Yoga with their community as a Yoga Instructor!

The Lift Yoga Teacher Training program surpassed all of my expectations. I have been practicing yoga for 7 years, and yet was only scratching the surface of what yoga is truly all about. I taught my first full yoga class tonight. I didn't PLAN on teaching yoga. I didn't even plan on Doing yoga (the closest I had gotten was wearing yoga pants while watching Netflix). I walked into my first yoga class an anxiety ridden mess and met Kimberly Snow Saunders about a year ago. Ever since, she has welcomed me into this practice with no judgement and unconditional support.
I gained enough confidence to walk into Teacher Training at Lift Yoga and met 12 more women who have changed my life for the better. I just hope I'm absorbing some of their grace and knowledge and humor just by being around them. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive environment for personal growth. Kim's mentor Sue Hopkins provided the back bone of pedigree with her acclaimed history of teacher training programs at Etowah Valley Yoga in Cartersville, Ga. I'm continuously in awe of her knowledge and am proud to have the foundation of this amazing Yoga Teacher Training family tree to stand on!
I didn't PLAN on any of this at all.
