OWNER OF LIFT YOGA
BAPTISTE POWER YOGA INSTRUCTOR CREDENTIAL,
CORE POWER YOGA SCULPT CERTIFICATION,
GROUP FITNESS CERTIFICATION
Lori was first introduced to yoga after retiring from professional cheerleading with the Baltimore Ravens! She realized she needed to find a way to stay active and flexible but without high-impact movements that stressed her muscles and joints. After years of casually practicing at various local gyms, she felt a radiant moment in her yoga practice while living in Rhode Island and weathering one of the worst Winters seen in New England in 20 years. She discovered a heated yoga studio and respite from the weather and her self-described “monkey mind” and workaholic tendencies. It became her sanctuary and community and thereafter she was hooked!
With a degree in Economics and Sociology/Anthropology Lori has worked, and continues to do so, in business development and operations. She leads with her heart and jumps at opportunities that speak to her. This led her to acquire Lift Yoga + Body and start another phase of her business and yoga journey. Lori is currently enrolled in the Fall 2019 Yoga Teacher Training program at Lift. The experience has deepened her practice and provided additional respect for the instructors and the layers required for a solid, thoughtful, and safe yoga practice.
An avid outdoors person, Lori has two, beloved weimaraners that she takes for hikes on the weekends with a favorite spot being Red Top Mountain State Park. When not spending time working, running a yoga studio, doing yoga and learning yoga, she volunteers as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in Cobb County.
Lori is forever grateful to Kim Saunders for building the amazing community at Lift and looks forward to the opportunity to carry the torch and continue to grow it in the years to come. An advocate for a well-rounded practice, her focus will be on fostering an inclusive environment where yoga is accessible to yogis of all ages, skill levels and interests.
