If you’re reading this, you’re likely a yogi ready to take your practice to the next level. Or maybe you are ready to commit to bettering yourself. No matter the reason, you have recognized that yoga has been a valuable addition to your life. Although a daily yoga practice may sound nice in theory, between your career, family, friends, or other personal obligations, you may be thinking 'there is no way I can incorporate yoga into my daily routine'.
But what if you could make it work?
What if you set aside all the reasons why it won’t work and started to tell yourself why a daily practice will work in your life.
As you start manifesting your daily practice, consider the benefits it may add to your life:
1. Increased Mental Clarity
Do you lie awake at night constantly thinking about your to-do list? Yoga helps take that energy and direct it more positively and efficiently. A great way to do this is set an intention for yourself. You will be surprised by how quickly you build up the mental clarity through your yoga practice.
2. Movement, Movement, Movement
So many of us are stuck sitting at a desk all day, leaving our bodies feeling tight and even sore. We crave movement daily, and your daily practice will get you moving. As a result, you will start to see your flexibility and strength improve over time. Time to say goodbye to hunched shoulders!
3. Ability to Connect with Yourself and Others
When was the last time you checked in with yourself? Have you asked yourself today what do I need from this day? What do I need to let go of to move forward with my life? And how can my yoga community help me get to where I need to be?
Taking the time to sit on your mat and connect and reflect with yourself and others will not only be a blessing added to your day, but your overall well being. When we sit and just listen, the answers we have been searching for often become more clear.
4. Your Life Off the Mat Will Benefit
While you may think that your yoga practice ends as soon as you roll up your mat, you will be amazed by the ways your life is impacted by even just a 45-minute class. It may be as simple as recognizing when anxious thoughts enter your mind and knowing the tools to redirect those thoughts. Or maybe turning to that affirmation you have developed for yourself.
