Sheila Ewers, Co-Lead Instructor

E-RYT500

Sheila is an ERYT 500 and YACEP teacher certified through Yoga Alliance. She trained at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and has been practicing and teaching for more than 20 years. In 2011, she created Blue Lotus Yoga, LLC which operated in two physical location in Johns Creek and Duluth, GA. She is a published author and served as Yoga Editor for Natural Awakenings Atlanta Magazine from 2019 through 2021.

Today, Sheila owns and operates SEEK Yoga and Travel, a full service yoga platform designed to help students and seekers of all sorts develop tools for deepening consciousness, developing connection and living lives of joyful embodiment. Sheila holds additional certifications in Meditation, Yin Yoga, Thai Yoga, Bodywork, and Yoga Nidra and has trained with dozens of internationally known yoga and meditation teachers. She leads Yoga Teacher Training at both the 200 and 300-hour levels, hosts retreats and workshops both domestically and internationally and provides spiritual and professional coaching. As a former Professor of American literature, Sheila loves to explore the intersection between philosophy, poetry, religion, nature, and yoga and often brings that synthesis into her work. She continues to take advantage of every opportunity to train and learn and will forever consider herself a student of this ancient and beautiful practice.

Paige Dunford, Co-Lead Instructor

E-RYT500

Paige began practicing yoga in 2008. She was interested in building strength and flexibility (and perhaps learning how to do some cool tricks)! Little did she know, yoga would take her on a journey, increasing her self-awareness, enhancing her health, and inspiring her to connect with her true self.

Paige inspires her students to connect within and move in a way that serves their unique needs. She thrives on continuing to learn from not only her mentors, but also from her students. She loves to share the ancient practice in ways that nourish each individual present. Take her class and go on a journey that strengthens the union between body, mind and soul.

Sonya Kuropatwa, Co-Lead Instructor

E-RYT500

Sonya’s joyful teaching style relies strongly on creative sequencing, irreverent humor, poetic language and boundless enthusiasm. Her gentle guidance and playful approach extend from her fascination with the body as an instrument of creative expression and spiritual awakening.

Pursuing further understanding of the mind-body mystery, Sonya came to yoga as a classically trained dancer, teacher and choreographer. She has been lovingly guiding dancers and yoga practitioners with authenticity, compassion and conscious connection for more than thirty years.

Sonya is an E-RYT500 certified yoga teacher. She has completed, led, mentored and co-facilitated several 200, 300 & 500-hour teacher training and certification courses and workshops through Peachtree Yoga Center, Atlanta Yoga Fellowship and Johns Creek Yoga / Blue Lotus Yoga. Sonya extends a humble bow of gratitude to the teachers, students, and artists who have so generously shared the knowledge and wisdom that inform her teaching and personal practice.
